A World of Danger (KJV)
|
|
(Revised Version of #30891) This tract includes some inside thoughts from several NASCAR drivers regarding not only the dangers of the sport, but the faith that sustains its people through it.
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20
There’s nothing else like it. Its stadiums are filled with the largest crowds of any sport, watching drivers charge around a racetrack at over 180 mph—within mere feet of each other. But the constant lead changes and constant friction between drivers means constant danger. In the ten months between May 2000 and February 2001, four gifted NASCAR drivers lost their lives in race crashes. Adam Petty (grandson of legend Richard Petty), Kenny Irwin Jr., Tony Roper and, finally, perhaps the sport’s most notable figure, Dale Earnhardt. The feelings and emotions surrounding such losses run deep, not just for the drivers and those closest to them, but for their millions of fans as well. Here are some thoughts from inside NASCAR regarding not only the dangers of the sport—but the faith that sustains its people through it. /////A World of Danger... “It was such a great season (2000) in so many ways, but the deaths just put a real cloud over it” Darrell Waltrip (3-time Winston Cup champion, retired) 1 “We lost some family members, and losing a family member is not something you ever put behind you.” Mike Helton (NASCAR president) 2 “This sport is unique in the most profound sense. Nowhere but in motor sports must everyone, owners, drivers, fans and media deal with the specter of serious injury and death.” Bob Ley (ESPN) 3 “This is not a 100 percent safe sport. This is a dangerous sport. It may be the most dangerous sport.” Jeff Burton (car #99) 4 “[Fans] don’t want to see drivers die. They want to see drivers defy death. That’s the appeal.” David Poole (Charlotte Observer) 5 But sadly, NASCAR drivers don’t always defy death. And neither will we, nor will our family and friends, when our time comes. So what then? How can we get through this? /////A World of Faith “I don’t think you get through something like this without your faith in God—and I’m not talking about a casual acquaintance.” Kyle Petty (Adam’s father, car #45) 6 “The most important thing to do is to pray and study the Bible. God can take your need and bless you as well as others around you if you put Him first.” Darrell Waltrip 7 “The Bible is truth—plain and simple. God created…you and me…for a purpose. He wants to have a relationship with us. At age 9, I trusted Christ as my Savior and Lord.” Joe Gibbs (NASCAR team owner) 8 “There’s a lot of different ways to live your life, but there’s only one right way and that’s to live for God. John 3:16 rings so deeply with me as the most significant part of Scripture...” Dale Jarrett (car #88) 9 “Young people look up to race car drivers. We can use that to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Racing is full of ups and downs and a lot of pressure, but Jesus is the one you can go to with all of your needs. He is the answer.” Mark Green (car #98) 10 So how about you? If you are convinced of your need for Jesus Christ, you can become a Christian right now by reading and accepting these “Steps to Peace with God” from Billy Graham: Step 1 God loves us, and He wants us to have eternal life…. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Step 2 …but our sin separates us from Him. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2 Step 3 So God sent His Son, Jesus, to bring us back together with God. “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all….” 1 Timothy 2:5–6a Step 4 Our response is to receive (trust in) Christ. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12 How to receive Christ: 1. Admit your need (I am a sinner). 2. Be willing to turn from your sins, to change your selfish ways. 3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave. 4. Pray to receive Jesus Christ into your life. What to pray: Dear Jesus, I know that I am sinful and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died to pay the penalty for my sin. I want to turn from my sin and follow You instead. I invite You to come into my heart and life. Amen. “My belief is that in the twinkle of an eye, you’re in the presence of the Lord.” Michael Waltrip (car #15, 2001 Daytona 500 winner) 11 |

Amazing Story Behind Amazing Grace (KJV)
|
|
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20 (Revised Version of #40395) Classic tract, most loved hymn.
From the world-wide TV coverage of the Olympic Games, to the platform of the acceptance speech of the President of the United States , to the smallest church in the rural backwoods, everywhere—we hear the strains of “Amazing Grace.” Where in the world did we get that song? How does its story relate to you and me? The story of John Newton is truly the story behind “Amazing Grace.” One would be hard pressed to imagine, let alone to live, a blasphemous life equal to Newton’s early years. In his youth he became the captain of a slave ship, landing at least one load of his human cargo in Charleston, South Carolina. It is reported that at times he was so drunk and destitute that even his crew regarded him as little more than an animal. Once he fell overboard and his ship’s crew refused to drop a boat to him. Instead they threw a harpoon at him, with which they dragged him back into the ship. He seemed oblivious to the plight of the poor black souls chained in the hold of his ship. His willful and wanton disregard for all that is right and holy led him into a life plagued with despair, dangers at sea, abuse, public floggings, destitution, depression, near drownings and miraculous escapes. During those years Newton often entered into a state of spiritual awakening. Consequently those times were short-lived, and he invariably lapsed into a more wicked and loathsome direction. One paricular harrowing experience at sea was used of the Lord to cause young Newton to seriously consider his standing before a holy God. After being at sea for several months with a load of lumber, livestock and beeswax, the ship ran into a violent storm. So severe was the gale that the otherwise seaworthy vessel was in danger of sinking. When the livestock were washed overboard, the crew tied themselves to the ship to keep from being swept into the sea. For four weeks, because of damage to the ship, the sailors despaired of life. Most of their waking hours were spent at the pumps to lighten the ship of water she had taken on. Rations were so low the men feared starvation. When they finally reached a port in Ireland, Newton began a sincere effort to become right with God. During that experience Newton became acutely aware of four things taught in the Bible. (1) I must realize that in my present condition I am a sinner before God. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “As it is written, There is none right-eous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). (2) I cannot save myself from eternal punishment in hell. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). “As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27 ). (3) Christ has paid for my sins and my punishment with His death on the cross. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). (4) I must accept His crucifixion as payment for my sins, personally. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). “But as many as received him (Christ), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). Two years later John Newton married his teenage sweetheart. During the following fourteen years, he continued studying for the ministry, and at age thirty-nine became a pastor in Olney, England. In 1779 Newton published a hymnal “The Olney Hymns” in which he placed 281 of his own works, including “Amazing Grace.” The melody that is so familiar to our nation is a traditional American melody published as early as 1831. The next time you hear the hauntingly beautiful “Amazing Grace,” remember that you, too, can experience the same saving grace as John Newton. In fact, you can do that right now! Just read over the Scriptures listed in this pamphlet, bow your head wherever you are, and ask Christ to come into your heart and be your Savior. Lindsay Terry Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear; and grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear; the hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come. ‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home. |

America, God Shed His Grace On Thee (KJV)

Patriotic and historic quotes from founding fathers by David Barton.
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20 America is not only one of the greatest nations in the history of the world, it has also become its longest ongoing constitutional republic. Its original government has now endured well over two centuries. However, America's longevity is only as stable and secure as its foundation. So what is the foundation of American government? Political scientists now know that the greatest single source of political inspiration for our founding fathers was the Bible, which was cited in 34% of the quotations from the founding era (1760?1805).1
This discovery, while it might surprise many today, would have come as no surprise to the founders. It was John Adams who explained:
The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were. . . . the general principles of Christianity.2
Founding father Noah Webster echoed the same message:
The religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and His Apostles. . . . This is genuine Christianity and to this we owe our free constitutions of government.3
Founder after founder declared the same belief:
Whether this [new government] will prove a blessing or a curse will depend upon the use our people make of the blessings which a gracious God hath bestowed on us. If they are wise, they will be great and happy. If they are of a contrary character, they will be miserable. Righteousness alone can exalt them as a nation [Proverbs 14:34]. Reader! Whoever thou art, remember this, and in thy sphere practice virtue thyself and encourage it in others.4 (Patrick Henry)
Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.5 (Thomas Jefferson)
Contrary to what is often asserted today, the founders never intended that God's Word or His principles be separated from public life. They knew these principles were vital to the success of our new government. James Madison explained:
Before any man can be considered as a member of civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe.6 And to the same Divine Author of every good and perfect gift [James 1:17] we are indebted for all those privileges and advantages, religious as well as civil, which are so richly emjoyed in this favord land.7
Furthermore, the founders saw the Bible as inseparable from public education. Benjamin Rush, the first founder to call for free national public schools, explained:
Let the children. . . be carefully instructed in the principles and obligations of the Christian religion. This is the most essential part of education.8 The great enemy of the salvation of man, in my opinion, never invented a more effectual means of extirpating [removing] Christianity from the world than by persuading mankind that it was improper to read the Bible at schools.9
The founders even viewed the principles of the Bible as inseparable from civil law. James Wilson, a signer of the Constitution and an original Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, explained:
Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is divine. . . Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other.10
These statements, despite the prominence of those who made them, are virtually unknown today. Instead, for the last four decades we have been taught that our founders were irreligious, desiring a complete separation between religious principles and public policy. However, the facts dispute that contention. First, consider the actions of the founding fathers. The overwhelming majority of these men were so firmly committed to the principles of God's Word that they went to great lengths to propagate those principles. For example, do you realize that many founders helped organize and lead several of the Christian societies which today are still spreading the gospel? Those men helped found the American Tract Society; the American Sunday School Union; over one hundred city, county, and state Bible societies, including the American Bible Society; the American Board of Foreign Missions; the Christian Constitutional Society; the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge; the American Society for Educating Pious Youth for the Gospel Ministry; and many other similar groups. Are such organizations likely to be started by supposedly irreligious men who wanted God's principles separate from society? Second, consider their words—or their lack thereof. Today's well-known phrase "separation of church and state" appears in no part of the Constitution. Furthermore, the discussion of the ninety founding fathers who framed the First Amendment (which the Courts now tell us means "separation of church and state") are recorded in the Congressional Journal from June 7 to September 25, 1789. Interestingly, not once in those months of discussions did one of the founders ever mention that phrase. Doesn't it seem logical that if they had intended today's doctrine of "separation of church and state" that at least one of those ninety would have mentioned it? Ironically, today we no longer learn about what our founders did say in the Constitution; instead, we learn about something that they didn't say! The Bible reminds us that the most important part of any structure is its foundation: "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3). It is time to remember our foundations, and to listen again to the words of those who were instrumental in making this country one of the world's most powerful and most respected nations. As George Washington reminded us: No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States...We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious [favorable] smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself ordained.11
For America's continuing survival and world leadership, we must recapture the founders' vision of the importance of God's Word and His gospel for this nation. America must again embrace the wisdom articulated so well by President John Adams:
We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.12

Are You Going to Heaven? (KJV)
|
|
(Revised Version of #30820)
What the Bible teaches about heaven.
Most travelers know where their destination is. Yet, ask them where their final destination will be - where they will be living forever - and very few know.
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20
There’s probably more uncertainty about the most important matter in the world than about any other. Let me illustrate: If you were to ask 100 people at random about the economy, politics, or pollution, you would get a fairly definite opinion from most. But ask the same 100 people, “Are you going to Heaven when you die?” The vast majority would answer with varying degrees of doubt—”I don’t know”...“I’m working on it”...“I have no idea”...“I’m not sure.” Many of these same people would tell you that they believe in Jesus Christ and that they believe in Heaven. Yet they don’t know whether or not they are going to Heaven.
What would your answer be?
Most of us know definitely whether or not we are working and whether or not we are married. Yet we do not know whether or not we have eternal life. Most travelers know where their destination is. Yet ask them where their final destination will be—where they will be living forever—and very few know! This uncertainty comes from a misunderstanding of what is involved in attaining eternal life and going to Heaven. If you were to ask the average person what one must do to have eternal life, his answer would probably include one or more of the following:
• Live a good life
• Obey the Ten Commandments
• Join a church and attend regularly
• Love your fellow man
• Be baptized and/or confirmed
• Follow the teachings and example of Christ.
All of these represent something that people do or try to do. They reflect the popular idea that eternal life in Heaven is a reward to be earned.
But the Bible states clearly that we cannot win or earn our way to Heaven. Eternal life is not a reward for what we have done or tried to do; it is a free gift. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).
So long as we think that we must earn our way into the presence of God, we can never be certain that we have done enough to deserve Heaven. Most of us realize that we are not good enough to measure up to God’s perfect standards. And for us to say, “I know I’m going to Heaven” sounds like the ultimate in pride and boasting, if Heaven is reached through good works.
The only sure answer!
The Bible, however, teaches that we cannot be good enough, that we cannot work our way to Heaven—and that we do not need to! We are to realize, instead, that Jesus Christ has opened the way to Heaven for us. No matter how bad we may be, any of us can qualify.
The Bible says, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his [God's] sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested...Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe...” (Romans 3:20-22).
You see, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins—yours and mine—by His death on the cross. Having completely paid our sin penalty, He rose from the dead and now offers eternal life to you and to me as a gift . By simply recognizing our need for a divine Savior, and by accepting Christ’s payment for our sins and our salvation, the matter of our eternal destiny is immediately resolved.
This is the way—the only way—to know for sure that you have eternal life.
Do you have this assurance?
If not, you can gain this assurance right here and now. How? The Bible says, speaking of Christ: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).
Have you received Him?
How, you still ask?
Well, let me illustrate by comparing your life to your home. In the last book of the Bible, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).
It’s up to you to open the door of your life to Christ. Are you willing to invite Jesus to come in and change your life? Are you willing to place all of your trust and confidence in Him rather than in your own works? If so, let me suggest you complete the transaction by praying something like this:
Dear God, I know I am a sinner and unable to save myself. But I do believe You love me, and that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins. Right here and now, I ask You to forgive my every sin and give me the gift of eternal life. Thank You, dear God, for hearing and answering my prayer, and for giving me eternal life as You promised You would. Amen.
In closing, let me remind you that the Bible says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...” (1 John 5:13).

Christmas Joy (KJV)
|
|
Taken from Luke 2. "May you know the true joy of Christmas, that Christ came into the world."
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. Luke 2:10-16 May you know the true joy of Christmas, that Christ came into the world. By trusting in Him, through His sacrificial death on your behalf, you can have forgiveness of sins and live eternally in heaven. |

Christmas Steps to Peace with God (KJV)
|
|
(A special Christmas edition) Written by Billy Graham and redesigned by ATS, this visually compelling tract shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that your friends and family can easily grasp.
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20
Step 1 God’s Purpose: Peace & Eternal Life God loves you, and He wants you to live in peace with Him and to receive eternal life. The Bible Says... “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b Since God planned for us to be at peace with Him and to have eternal life, why are many people not enjoying this experience?
Step 2 Our Problem: Sin & Separation God did not make us robots to mindlessly love and obey Him. Instead He gave us a will and freedom of choice. But, like Adam, we often choose to disobey God and go our own selfish ways (read Genesis chapters 2-3). This side of our nature is called sin, and it separates us from God. The Bible Says... “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ...[and] the wages of sin is death.” Romans 3:23; 6:23a
“Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden...” Genesis 3:23a “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2 Our sin separates us from God.
Step 3 God’s Remedy: The Cross Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God. He died on the cross and rose from the grave to pay the penalty for our sin—completely bridging the gap between us and God. The Bible Says... “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24 God has provided the only way... and we must make the choice.... Step 4 Our Response: Receive Christ We can receive Jesus Christ when we believe in His message and trust in Him alone to save us. The Bible Says... “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” Acts 10:43 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12 How to Receive Christ 1. Admit your need (I am a sinner). 2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent). 3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave. 4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as your Savior.) What to Pray Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am sinful and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died to pay the penalty for my sin. I want to turn from my sin nature and follow You instead. I invite You to come into my heart and life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God’s Assurance: His Word
If you sincerely prayed this prayer and asked Jesus Christ to come into your life, do you know what He has given you? The Bible Says... “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 “[Neither] height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:12-13 Your New Life When you receive Christ, you are born into God’s family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer...this is called regeneration or “new birth.” God bless you as you begin your wonderful new life in Christ. |

Flag Card (KJV)
|
|
This 2-sided card is printed on heavy stock for display in car windows, etc.
It features the US flag on the front and a brief description of the flag's meaning, and a gospel message on the back!
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20 The flag is the symbol of our national unity, our national endeavor, our national aspiration. The flag tells of the struggle for independence, of union preserved, of liberty and union one and inseparable, of the sacrifices of brave men and women to whom the ideals and honor of this nation have been dearer than life. It means America first; it means an undivided allegiance. It means America united, strong and efficient, equal to her tasks. It means that you cannot be saved by the valor and devotion of your ancestors, that to each generation comes its patriotic duty; and that upon your willingness to sacrifice and endure as those before you have sacrificed and endured rests the national hope. National Symbol, Charles Evans Hughes
Americans have never hesitated to protect and defend our flag, our nation and all that we hold dear, even to the shedding of our own blood. But there is another type of freedom that was purchased with the price of blood. Jesus, the Christ, freely gave His life on a cross, allowing His blood to be shed for the sins of all mankind. The freedom He purchased for us, from the guilt of our sin, is offered to you today. The Bible states,
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). |

Freedom Is Not Free...VOTE (KJV)
|
|
Don't take your privilege lightly.
"The American Tract Society is truly a great American institution. For over 178 years it has brought the Gospel to millions, with tracts written by prominent citizens such as Signer of the Declaration, Benjamin Rush to President Theodore Roosevelt. Other U.S. Presidents have served as honorary Vice Presidents of the American Tract Society including: James K. Polk, Benjamin Harrison, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover and William McKinley. Numerous Supreme Court Justices have also served. Tracts carrying the good news of hope through faith in Jesus Christ have been distributed on Civil War battlefields, to pioneers going west, to troops fighting in World Wars I and II, to the present. I consider it an honor to have a tract from myself included in this esteemed cause. May God continue to bless your most important work." - William J. Federer

“The whole system of American Government rests on the ballot box. Unless citizens perform their duties there, such a system of government is doomed to failure.” President Calvin Coolidge. FEW PEOPLE The Federal Election Commission revealed that just 51% of America’s voting age population voted in the 2000 elections—and just 51% of those voters determined who got elected. That means only 26% of citizens determined the direction for the entire nation! It was once said that there are three types of people: Those who MAKE things happen, Those who WATCH what happens, and Those who WONDER what happened!
Which are you? FREEDOM IS NOT FREE Today millions of people—living under totalitarian, communist, or dictatorship governments—do not have the right to vote. This right is one of your most precious possessions, and a great price was paid to give it to you. In Medieval Europe no one voted, for kings were all powerful. In Colonial America only landholders could vote. After the Revolution the right to vote was extended to those who did not own property. Blacks could not vote until 1870 (15th Amendment); women could not vote until 1920 (19th Amendment); people not paying a “poll tax” could not vote until 1964 (24th Amendment); and 18-year-olds could not vote until 1971 (26th Amendment). CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT VOTING “If the people fail to vote, a government will be developed which is not their government.” President Calvin Coolidge. Charles Finney, founder of Oberlin College— the first college to graduate a black woman in America—declared in 1835: “The church must take right ground in regards to politics...The time has come for Christians to vote for honest men, and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them.... Politics are a part of a religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to their country as a part of their duty to God.... God will bless or curse this nation according to the course Christians take in politics.” YOUR GREATEST DECISION Voting is important, but there’s another decision you will make that carries far greater consequences than electing even the President. There is someone who will eternally influence your life...someone who is waiting to see what you will decide about Him. That person is Jesus Christ, and the decision is whether you will accept or reject Him as your Savior. The Bible says that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus Christ as the payment, the satisfaction, for all the imperfection and sins in our lives. “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.” (1 Peter 3:18) You must decide whether to trust Jesus Christ as your substitute and receive eternal life as a free gift, or you may choose to reject Him and suffer the consequences: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36) Bible references: KJV Photo by Comstock • Printed in USA • ©2003 |

This tract has been specially printed with LARGE TEXT, for easy reading
Price: US $3.50 per pack of 20
God speaks to us in a special way in times of testing. This leaflet is presented with the sincere wish that you might be strengthened as God speaks to you in your time of need, and that you, through “comfort of Scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
HIS SUPPORTING PRESENCE
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. Psalm 103:13,14
HIS SURPASSING PEACE
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Isaiah 26:3
[Jesus said,] These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
HIS STAYING PURPOSE
Now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6,7
Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth . . . Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Hebrews 12:6,11
[The Lord said,] My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. [Paul’s response was,] Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
As you claim God’s promises by faith, He will grant you: His triumph in the midst of testing; His joy in the midst of sorrow; His peace in the midst of trouble.
